Hello my loyal legion of readers! I am back in Edinburgh again, after graduating with a 1st, and living with my parents, which is always a very special kind of hell, and most excitingly I'm reviewing comedy on the fringe for EdinburghGuide again!
There's always lots to see on the fringe, and just by walking up the Royal Mile one can see hundreds of different acts, talents and performances. I would especially recommend my friend's band Jen and the Gents, go and see them if you can for some lovely folky-poppy tunes, also really sound guys. Obviously its not just confined to the Royal Mile I saw a cool psychedelic band playing just off Jawbone walk in The Meadows called Halcyon Daze - some nice wah-pedal work there.
I've seen 4 shows already, and I will link to my reviews when they go online. Right now my first three are up, they are:
Axis of Awesome - brilliant Australian comedy-rock.
Adam Crow: Ashton Kutcher's Dead Girlfriends - a decent stand-up show, with some nicely edgy material.
A Betrayal of Penguins: Endangered for a Reason - top-notch Irish sketch show with some superbly surreal characters.
Will be back soon with further updates and a bit more commentary on the Fringe.
